The moods of my exgf changed drastically, could be because the thyroid problem?
My girlfriend was having severe mood changes and she used to have a pill everyday for her thyroid that one of the things was not doing was to let her loose weight. Does anyone know something more about that pill or the thyroid problem related to severe mood swings?

- yes I have thyroid problems and my moods swing a lot but it should be better after she continually takes her medication.
- hi my mother also suffers from the same problem. If her pill is not a high enough dose she begins to start feeling tired and stressed. Abd if she is not feeling good that can cause mood swings for any woman! she needs to tell her doctor how she is feeling, so that he can help her.

- Yes, I suffer from hyperthyroidism and it will definetly affect your moods. It can cause you to have big spurts of energy, too, like you're rolling on a X, and then the next minute you're sleepy like you haven't slept in days (and sometimes she'll probably just sleep and sleep and sleep) and that kind of up and down can deeply affect your moods. Just bear with her and if she snaps at you sometimes over dumb stuff...don't always take it personal.
