Serious answers only !! Missing menstrual cycle, not pregnant?

Hi, I am 27 had my first child (via c-section)10 months ago, breast fed for the first two months. I have not had a period since october, I am not pregnant, and I have had my thyroid checked and it is fine. I have had very light spotting, and I mean very light, almost non exhistant. I had my annual today, but the doctor (PA) didn't know what was wrong. I was wondering if anyone else might know what could be going on.

  1. im 12 and I first got my period when I had just turned 10. the weird thing is I might get it 2 or 3 times a year but it goes on for like 3 weeks. do you know whats wrong with me?
  2. You have your thyroid checked, but what about your sex hormones (ovarian) and pituitary hormones (gonadotropins)? Imbalance in these usualy are the primary cause of amenorrhea.
  3. My mom actually went through it too but it was all stress related.
  4. Perhaps your body has just changed. After each of my children my cycles were cmopletely different than they were before. Maybe that spotting IS all the period you will have now. Maybe your body is still readjusting, sometimes it takes up to a year, some even two I've heard. If your PA ran tests and exam but found nothing, it's probably just one of those.
  5. ...maybe there's something wrong with your ovary and it needs to be cleaned.. that was also the problem of one of my sisters.. they want to add another baby but they can't make it.. but somebody said, maybe her ovary is dirty.. you have to check your diet too.. maybe try going to iridologist because they can tell you what you can't eat and they can give you advice.. not everything could be seen by a doctor.. anyway, it won't harm you if you try my advice too...
  6. Yea, you're lucky.... there's nothing wrong without bleeding, be happy about it.
  7. I have a friend that went through early menopause. it is possible, I'm sorry. you can ask your Dr. to check you for that or there are box OTC test to determine it also. good luck & I hope it's not! it could also be stress!!
