Here's my symptoms. I've been to doctors. What do you think?
Depression, obsessed with appearance (especially my hair since it was chemically damaged), irregular periods (I've had my tubes tied with my last child), fatigued all the time, sleepy by 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening, light sleeper (wake at the slightest sound), psoriasis of scalp, allergies, and did I mention obsessed with my bad hair? - bleaching and a straightener broke it off and made it damaged so I now have extensions while it's growing out and don't even like those even though everyone else seems to. I've been tested for hormonal imbalance - some progesterone levels were low but when I got on extra progesterone, my bloatedness and depression seemed to get worse. I was also tested for thyroid problems - they said my levels were low but in the normal range. Should I be tested for Polycystic ovarian syndrome or something else?

- Get a 2nd opinion from a good endocrinologist. Low-normal ranges for hormones are actually not normal at all. If your car was running a quart low on oil, you would put oil in it! If you have multiple hormone imbalances it could be coming from your pituitary. Did you have heavy bloodloss with any pregnancies? That can damage your pituitary.
- sounds like a mild form of obessive complusive disorder, if your not seeing a mental health professional I suggest that you do. The irregular periods may be related to a polycystic ovary though that is normally associated with pain. Some peoples cycles just change after children and thats what happens also possible that you are going into an early menopause. which irregular periods can occur for years before menopause actually starts. good luck.
- I am hypopituitary
- Sounds like your paranoid.
- sounds like a bad case off self image and confidence.
could be a touch off depression hense all the sleeping
have you asked maybe too talk too someone about what your feeling and going through like a counciler or therapise, talking often helps.
- It might very well be Polycystice ovarian syndrom, or early menopouse.
It could be any number of medications you are taking, so double check your labels. Be sure you aren't mixing them with any "drinks" or other medications that could have bad affect to things.
You also could jsut be going through a phase of insecurity. It happens to women all the time, and just happens for no realy reason. You might have caught a bad glimpes of yourself in the mirror, you're hsuband isn't showing you enough attention (yes, for as much as I rant about US giving THEM attention, it does it fact go BOTH way) Or you just really need some time to yourself.
If you have the extra cash laying around, just go to a spa for a day and get a makeover and have a little retail therapy. (but stick to your budget)
If all else fails, just go back to your doc and tell him that you are severly stressed and what to do about it. Good luck.
- I'd guess a combination of depression, low self-esteem and a body dysmorphic disorder.
