Will I still be able to get pregnant......?
The end on November 2006 my husband and I decided that we were to start to try having another child. I am 23 and he is 31 so this would be our last child and than I planned on getting my tubes tied. Dec 4th 06 I was due to get my period - which I did not get. I am now almot 4 months late. I have been to several regular & gyn dr apps. Turns out that I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) with a possibility of Endometriosis n hypothyroidism with a lump on my thyroid all can be reason for me not getting my period. My gyn put me on Provera 10mg for 10 days and said I should get my period with 5 days after taking my last pill. She also has me starting a low dose birth control, to help keep me regular. My question with everything that I just found out, will there be a chance that I can get pregnant naturally or will I need to take something to help me keep pregnant?

- Having PCOS along with endometerosis myselfe, I can say it is still possible to get pregnant because I did. Having PCOS normally make it harder on a woman to become pregnant but yet, it it still totatly doable. Low dose b/c does help especially with pain if you have it. If you are trying to get pregnant you will want to stay off of birth control for a while. I had been on birth control for 6 years then stopped and it took a year and a half for the birth control to get out of my system compleetely then become pregnant. What you do want to ask your gyno is if having all the cysts on you ovaries it that concerns any threat for you or the fetus. I know it can be a problem for some.
- any thing is possible all you do is have to believe .trust that god will take care of your problems..
have faith and surrender to this god will do the rest
best of luck and lots of baby dust to you
- We do not plan on trying to concieve right now due to everything that we have just found out everything but in the future we would like to try. Right now my gyn is unsure of my fertility I would like to know if anyone has gone threw anything remotely close to what I am experiencing.
Thank you.
- A lot of women with PCOS go on to have children after treatment. Because you are still fairly young your Dr. may tell you to try naturally for a while or he may suggest more aggressive treatment. It's probably best to get your underlying conditions treated first. There's always a chance of getting pregnant, unless you are 100% sterile it can happen, you just may need a little help.Clomid is usually the first course of action since it helps you to ovulate regularly, but this is something to discuss with your Dr.There are many web-sites that deal with the issue of TTC with PCOS.I don't personally have it,but since we are TTC I have run across many articles.Good Luck :)
