- hyper-thyroid is a treatable condition. left untreated can lead to undesirable and serious consequences. you would need to be under a doctor's care for this condition and then a doctor can advise you on your risks and how to minimize them.
if you do not have insurance, try calling United Way. The phone number will be listed in the front section of your phone book. It acts as a clearinghouse for community based resources, including low cost, income-base or sliding scale fee medical care.
you can use webmd or Y! web search or google.com to find out more about your condition.
take care of you first, mom (or future mom-to-be;)
- Maybe, you should get your level checked and start thyroid replacement therapy asap. This will not effect having children, but should help. Good luck.
- I have all the same problems you mentioned and I have a 13 month old son. I had no complications with childbirth and so far my son is completely healthy...and actually ahead for his age. I didn't worry about it, but if you are really concerned, simply ask your doctor. The only thing I had to do was watch my diet while I was pregnant...but that's a given anyway :)
- I have thyroid problems and hormonal imbalances, and high metabolism (no matter what I eat Im skinny.) Soon im sure, I would like to have children/babies. will me having thyroid problem or hormonal imbalance or high metabolism effect me having children or having healthy children?
