  1. My mother all most lost her life to the same condition. I am just saying you need to be admitted to the best hospital in the area and forget the cost their is no price for good health
  2. I had my thyroid removed and tried to go back to work, less than a week after the surgery. It was a bad decision.

You need to have your thyroid medication properly regulated by an endocrinologist. They start you off at a low dose, and every 6 weeks or so they give you a blood test, and see if the dose needs to be changed. It may take 3-6 months to have your dose properly regulated. Even then you may not feel 100%.
  3. you need to have regular blood tests to check the level of thyroxine you are taking is within the correct dose for you. Go to your GP for a check up
  4. I know just how you feel. My thyroid is overactive, I feel tired all the time and suffer from constant headaches. Fortunately I have a sympathetic GP. Unfortunately I don't know if anything can be done for you, since your thyroid has already been removed.
  5. I have an underactive thyroid, it is so tiring I have no energy am always run down with tiredness. always feel the need to sleep.
  6. you need a really good diet, bananas and dry biscuits help, dont know why but they do, dont drink much alcohol. nobody ever understands either do they, unless they suffer themselves, also take your medication on an empty stomach, it gets absorbed better and just try and keep your chin up, once its sorted, you have more good days than bad, hope your feeling better soon.
  7. As long as you have regular blood tests to confirm you are on the correct dose of levothyroxine you should get no symptoms at all from your thyroid.
  8. Are you taking hormone supplements. You should be taking a pill to replace the hormones that your thyroid would have been making.
I have hyperthyroidism but had alot of the side effects of hypo (extreme fatigue, sick all the time, almost non existant immune system). I have been taking meds for it and I'm fine now. I remember when I was so tired I would almost fall asleep at work when I was being trained and got horrid headaches everytime I was about to get sick. I feel for you.
I hope your taking meds for this. If you are they should be testing your blood and making sure everything is on track. Sounds to me like you need a dosage change.
  9. Well you should be on thyroid replacement medication. Then if possible skip the GP and go to an endocrinologist as there may be other hormone producing glands that are effected as well. Such as in Addisons disease with the Adrenal glands, this will make you very tired as well and may even cause sudden death.
