Hypothyroidism?

does anyone here suffer from it? how would you describe your symptoms?

  3. I dont have hyperthyroidism, but the sx are: hypothermia, bradycardia, myxoedema and weight gain.

    Hypothyroidism is the condition in which the thyroid is underactive (I.e., it is producing an insufficient amount of thyroid hormones). Hypothyroidism is the most common thyroid disorder.     Causes of hypothyroidism:

    dull facial expressions
    hoarse voice
    slow speech
    droopy eyelids
    puffy and swollen face
    weight gain
    constipation
    sparse, coarse and dry hair
    coarse, dry, and thickened skin
    carpal tunnel syndrome (hand tingling or pain)
    slow pulse
    muscle cramps
    orange-colored soles and palms
    sides of eyebrows thin or fall out
    confusion
    increased menstrual flow in women
  5. Yes... before getting the correct medicine and dosage figured out... I was exhausted... yet couldn't sleep. physical tell tale sign for me was my eyes seemed to be getting smaller... hair was thinning- had no energy, couldn't lose a pound if I wanted to... here is my thought... If I had to have a 'disease' and take any medication for the rest of my life... this is the disease I would have picked! Once under control- which can take several months, medication trials, and blood levels - you will feel back to yourself - I felt so bad for so long, I just thought all my issues were part of being a girl... thanks goodness I was wrong and the right doctor found out my issue.... good luck!
