  1. Part on the endoctrine system, the pituitary gland is divided into 2 sections: anterior and posterior.

Posterior pituitary secretes 2 hormones: oxytocin (released during labor in women) and ADH (anti-diuretic hormone- released to increase sodium reabsorption when the body is dehydrated, low blood pressure, or in other cases when the body needs more water.)

Anterior pituitary secretes many more hormones throughout your body, but the main ones are:

    FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone)
    LH (luteinizing hormone)
    ACH (adrenocorticotropic hormone)
    TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone)
    Prolactin
    Endorphins (which make you happy)
    & GH (growth hormone)

A mnemonic to remember is: FLAT PEG

    Hope this helps you some!
  2. One answer is HGH, human growth hormone that is in charge of the growth process. There is a dwarfism caused by lack of thyroid hormone. Thyroid controls rate of use of food and body metabolism. It can make people skinny or fat.
