  1. Armour Thyroid. After 30 years of taking the synthetic thyroid compounds, my doctor switched me to Armour Thyroid about 3 months ago: I feel like a new person. Cannot tell you the difference this type of thyroid medication has made in my life.

  4. This is not exactly the answer to your question, but it might help you.

There are a number of chemicals that "compete" with one another in our bodies. Iodine/Iodide is necessary for healthy thyroid function, as mentioned extremely briefly by the first answerer. Unfortunately fluorine/fluoride and chlorine/chloride "cancel out" iodine/iodide in your system. So it's imperative if you want to absorb and be able to utilize the proper amount of iodine/iodide to help support thyroid function, that you avoid chlorine and fluoride as much as possible. Even the vapors that are sent into the air from the tap water while washing dishes or flushing the toilet or taking a shower can affect this delicate balance.

So, in addition to getting a good thyroid-supportive supplement, a water filter for your home is a good idea. If you drink tap water, consider getting a distiller or use bottled water that does not have added fluoride and find a toothpaste that does not contain fluoride.

I have a highly informative booklet I read recently that might be of some use to you. If you want it, feel free to email me and I can send it to you.

Also, my mom has had some success with a product for thyroid produced by youngliving.org.

I hope you find what you're looking for!
  5. Did you hear something about it? I really don't know any natural way to stimulate the thyroid. And I have hypothyroidism for 18 years, using medicines.
  6. You should research this on the http://www.curezone.com website. You are more likely to find or get the answer you seek there.
