Does anyone else think Synthroid doesn't completely work for them?

I am just wondering if anyone else still suffers symptoms of hypothyroidism even though they are taking their medication properly and their tests are coming back in the normal range.

  1. Many people have found this to be true, myself included. The muscle aches are usually a symptom that screams you need both T4 & T3. Synthoid is only T4. I will post a few links below that you will find quite interesting. Myself I switched to Armour thyroid about 3 years ago and the only hypo symptoms I now have are cold feet at night and ridged fingernails. I had almost every hypo symptom there was previously. Feel free to contact me if you want. I have come to yahoo questions to try to help others who were like me a few years ago. There's no need to continue to suffer. There is hope out there. You just need to educate yourself. Good luck!
  2. I take it and find my symptoms are aleiveated by synthroid...and without it I pack on the weight - but I still struggle with my weight when on a theraputice dose...it can't "cure" you...some people are just made to struggle with weight, I guess..but drinking lots of water and exercising regularly along with a healthy diet works...at least that way your body isn't working against you!
  3. I would say the medication has not helped at all with taking the weight back off.
