What are the effects of taking too much synthroid?I take synthroid for hypothyroid and I know exactly what happens when I do not take it, but not when I take too much. What effects will it have on weight? It's not a diet question, I am not looking to lose any weight, I just need to know what happens over a period of time.

Well she started me on 25 mcg synthroid the first week I felt really good I had alot of energy my all day hunger cravings stopped completely, but last week I started to slow down again and started feeling anxiety and a little depressed and some what hungry again even though it's been 2 weeks on synthroid and I have lost 10 lbs. but I'm very tired again and my menstration was about to come and it stopped I mean I got all the symptoms I was ready b-cuz I am sooo irregular and I haven't gotten it for 2 months and nothing, so I called my doctor and told what was going on and she told to start tomorrow on 50 mcg is there anything I should be aware of by upping my dosage any help would be great

Too much thyroid medication?I just got diagnosed with hypothyroidism and taking .075mcgs of levothroid. it says it is generally well tolerated but for some reason I'm sweating more often and I feel very warm at night and my appetite fluctuates frequently and I'm loosing weight slowly. Can synthroid cause erectile dysfunction?I am a 38 year old male with hypothyroidism I have had great results with Synthroid, but the side effects leave me unable to perform sexually. How soon after taking Synthroid for hyperthroid can you take a multiple vitamin & vitamin E is 1 hour or 2?I heard that some vitamins counteract synthroid medication if taken too soon. It is a generic brand but I"m sure I am still able to take a vitamin.

Should a 85 yearold woman with dementia who hasbeen off her synthroid for 2yrs go back on it she has symptoms?She is in hospice, was not expected to live more than 6 mos. that was two years ago. At that time they took her off all meds including the synthroid. She is doing pretty well now, but does have symptoms of hypothyroidism. Should she be put back on now?

She started me on 125MCG, I have never been on this high of a dose in the past. Always before they would start me on a low dose and then raise it as needed. I also started it after I gave birth to my first child. I got pregnant after he was 6 mos and now my children are 3 and 2 . Side effects to thyroid medication?In October I had a left thyroidectmy (had a very big nodule). I had blood work done and my doctor said I was on the lower side of the OK range and since I had the one side taken out, they want me on the higher end of the OK range. So, last month I started the medication Levothyroxine 50 mcg. For the last month I have not been feeling myself: constantly going to the bath room, nausea, headaches. If I can take any or all of these with Synthroid, should I wait a certain amount of hours before or after them to take the Synthroid? Thanks!

What are the effects of taking too much synthroid?I take synthroid for hypothyroid and I know exactly what happens when I do not take it, but not when I take too much. What effects will it have on weight? It's not a diet question, I am not looking to lose any weight, I just need to know what happens over a period of time.
Side effects from not taking synthroid?Hi! I am 35 yrs. old and last Feb. I was diagnosed with graves. My sis has it also. I had RAI last March. My question is...I forgot the last 2 days to take my 150mcg of synthroid and I woke up this morning all puffy and swelled, then I realized its probley from NOT taking my med in the morning. Could it be that? Ticks me off cause I was just finally feeling better. My labs are normal.....though I still have bone.muscle pain. Also 170lbs and cant lose it if I starved myself! Synthroid medicine?you know I have a real idot doctor,,which I am trying to find another one right now.... I was taking synthroid until he mademe quit for 8 weeks to have a thyroid 2 day scan,,anyways they found a cyst on the left side and a hot/toxic nodule on the right and it diminished after 6 hours and 24 hours ,,whatever that means,,,SO should I be back on my thyroid medicine until I go see and endocrinologist.....
Does it hurt you to take green tea tablets in you are on thyroid medication like synthroid?Does green Tea tablets hurt you in anyway? I am also a diabetic.
