I have Thyroid Problems, and feel like all my energy is gone. Can't Loose Weight. Help?I have an inactive Thyroid, taking synthroid and it helps very little. I feel so tierd all the time and have no desire to do the things I know I need to do. Nothing seems to matter to me anylonger except my 2 grandsons, 6yrs and 2yrs. I am a 34 year old male and I have been told that I have a under active thyroid?My doctor started me 50 levothyroxine then two wks later he upped to 75. I have been taking my tablets four wks now. before I started to take my tablets I weighed 118k now four wks later I weigh 113 thats without any exercise. I keep getting a fast heart rate and which sounds like a thump in my heart plus I get what feels likw pins and needles in my left upper chest also chest pains come and go. Latlely I have throat problems where as I cant swallow food and it a bit sore. as any one experianced this and if so did it go away. I have just quit smoking today and before that I have been smoking 3 -5 a day for the last 6 months before that it was between 8 - 10 for 18 years

Low thyroids?iv just found out after all this time trying to lose weight,that I have under active thyroid glands,im now on medication,has any one else had this problem (im sure theres a few)IF so any tips on foods types that can help speed things up a bit.

Thyroid underactive: I take eltroxin someone said take t3 tabs too whats this?doc never heard of it?wat is it?I was told that my eltroxin tabs are known as t4 tabs and I should be taken t3 tabs too so I wont be tired all the time and my dry skin would improve and dry hair that come with underactive thyroid,I asked my nurse and she never heard of t3 tabs?

If I can feel my thyroid a bit enlarged is this an overactive or underactive thyroid?I have been having trouble getting in to see a doctor a the last couple of weeks my thyroid seems to be enlarged. I have had restricitve sensation on my throat. In the last 24hrs I think I can feel the actual gland just above my breastbone.
