Am I losing my mind?Okay . . .I have had the following tests. MRI of head, CAT of abdomen. Numerous blood tests, inclusind HYpoglycemia, thyroid, diabetes, lyme disease and HIV. All come out normal. I have anxiety disorder and depression. however I am lightheaded or in a fog all the time. Sometimes I wonder if I am slowly losing my mind. I am sensitive to light and see auras sometimes. I feel off balanced and have been known to have vertigo, developed a nystagmus too. I often wonder if I am losing my mind. I have no motivation really. They put me on zoloft, I ve been on it for 3 weeks. It has made my Raynauds go away as well as most panic attack and some of the depression. But I feel zoned, tired, and lack motivation. I am seeing a shrink and my doctor. They want to switch me to Effexor but I am afraid! Am I losing my mind?
My dog is losing hair around her neck, and near her hips. What could be the cause of this? She doesn't have a low thyroid problem, and the vet said she would need to do a skin biopsy. Has anyone ever had this problem? My dog is half shepherd/husky.
My cat just had a check-up and I was told that her liver and thyroid levels were up?She is 14 years old and the Vet recommends medication. It is costly, $45-50.00 for a one-month supply. I love my kitty but I am not sure I can afford the medicine. Would you just let nature take its course? I don't want her to suffer in the future. Right now she's okay except for the above. What would you do?

My 85 lb dog ate about 45 of my 60 mg Armour Thyroid tablets 7 hours ago and is sleeping soundly...omg, how?I called the vet, the pharmacist, poison control, the emergency clinic and they just said to watch her for the next 24 hours. She was breathing a little heavier than usual and eliminated it (going to the bathroom..I hope mostly cause she did have an extra bowel movement.) I guess we'll just keep an eye on her and take her to the vet if she does anything out of the ordinary. The vet did have concerns about seizures and the pharmacist about stroke..but my dog is acting just normal and now sleeping. Funny thing, I was gonna take her to the 24 hour clinic as it is almost midnight, but she seems fine. I will let you know if anything out of the ordinary develops.
Urinary problems . . . I hope . . .?I have a 12 yr old spayed female who has been on Feline WD most of her life because of recurring urinary problems. She's actually only had a few recurrances. Just yesterday she was in obvious pain, and moving like something in her back end hurt. Rushed her off to the vet. All test came back fairly normal. when they expressed urine from her, it was totally clear, with no odor. Odd for a cat. Renal tests were ok, thyroid ok. Even white count is ok. He put her on antibiotics, gave her IV fluids over night for dehydration. She's home now, but still in pain. Just lays in her box/bed. She's also lost 4 pounds in the last year. Anyone have any experience with something like this? I've already spent $400 on her. Next up is ultrasound, if the antibiotics don't work. Any ideas?
Why won't my dogs hair grow back after being shaved?I just asked this question earlier. My dogs hair won't grow back in several spots after being shaved. He has seen a vet and had his thyroid checked and his skin, no explanation from vet as yet.
Is this pill really Methimazole? Our cat has been prescribed 5mg of Methimazole for a hyperactive thyroid. We just got the prescription refilled, but the new pills look different from the old ones. The new ones are round, white, and have the letters "VM" imprinted on one side, with a divider line on the other side. We've searched online databases and photos but can't find any examples of any Methimazole manufacturer's product that looks like this. We are concerned that we might have received the wrong pill, but the vet is closed until Monday. On a long shot, does anyone happen to know if the pill described above is actually Methimazole?
This is a question for a professional...?My cat is 3 and 18 lbs. He eats constantly, so much he throws up in the food bowl sometimes. I have 4 cats, and a diet is not an option. He has gotten so big that he is wheezy and his eyes are always watery and irritated. Can this be caused by depression?- he was decalwed front and back when he was a kitten before I adopted him from the shelter. Can obesity cause asthma? Is this most likely a thyroid problem? Will he develop diabetes? I am bringing him in for his yearly check up next month, he weighed 13 lbs last time and they said to bring him back if he gains any more weight. I feed him high quality food.
Old dog with hip dysplasia becoming aggressive?due to pain. Only likes me now, not my hubby or kid! She is on pain relief, and anti- inflamm. I had her thyroid levels checked as well, they are normal. Any suggestions? I don't want to her to be PTS, but I can't have her snapping at friends and family either! She is crate trained and I'm barely managing! HELP!!
7 Year old cat very sick...is it too late?To be fairly brief, she's not eating, drinking, grooming. Been to the vet, did blood work, no thyroid probs, no FIV no FeLv, no diabetes. She's down to almost nothing. we've tried to force feed her but she aspirates, and vomits. The vet did a full body scan, found nothing. no tumors, NOTHING. Any suggestions at all?
What is a complex thyroid lesion?found in a cat scan
My dog was just diagnosed hypothyroid, he won't eat. Why?Shadow is a mutt (lab mix). He'll be 10 in December. He's had skin issues since winter. I just took him to the vet on Friday because he was very lethargic and wouldn't eat. They drew blood and said his thyroid is very low. We'll start his meds tonite. I'm just wondering why he won't eat. I tried everything from warm water on his food to hand feeding him. He acts like it hurts. He's been drinking tons of water. I did finally get him to eat some chicken noodle soup yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks!

My Grandma's cat's weight problem.?I think my grandma's cat has a thyroid problem, because the cat weighs 13 pounds even, and in spite of having her on weight loss food for several months and a drastically reduced diet, she has not lost an ounce. I'm very worried about her. Her measurments are as follows, she is 24 inches long from her nose to the base of her tail, her circumference is 17 and 1/2 inches, and she's a medium sized cat. However please do not answer something like "Don't feed her at all that'll do it!" Because I do not find that funny, nor do I find helpful. Adult mature opinons would be most apperciated.
My dog just age one of my armour thyroid.im scared?Vet said called poison control, and poison control said should be ok. But I dont believe them IM worried

Is radioiodine treatment a good choice for cats with hyperthyroidism? The vet says that one of our cats has an overactive thyroid, and our options are surgery, medication, or treatment with radioactive iodine (I-131). The vet says that surgery and pills are both problematic and the best choice is the iodine therapy. This treatment requires a week of isolation at the treatment facility (which of itself can be hard on a pet), followed by a period of time at home that they can't go outside and you have to minimize your contact (because they're, um, radioactive). Is this treatment worth it? How effective is it? Any side effects in your personal experience?
My 15 year old cat must take pills for the rest of her life. She won't come near me anymore. Is this worth it?She used to like being close to me, but those days are gone. I barely see her anymore, so I can't get the pills into her like I should. My vet says I'm not compliant. She has an overactive thyroid, and vet says her life will be shortened by not getting these pills. I don't know what to do (have tried all the pill methods I've seen--crushing, putting in food, prying open her mouth, putting in Nutri-cal and wiping on her paws).
My Boxer of 5 1/2 years had 2 seizures over this past weekend, could Iams wet food caused this? She had never had a seizure before and these were bad, just kind of fell over, loss of bladder control, eyes rolled back ,bit her tongue badly. Took her to the Vet where extensive tests were done concluding that she had Thyroid problems and an irregular heartbeat. Cleaning out my pantry I found 2 cans of the Beef vegies in Gravy, this is typically what she eats along with dry. Could tainted dog food caused these seizures? I ran up $1K in tests over the following week trying to get an answer. Is there a test my Vet can perform to determine if it was the dog food and what recourse do I have against Iams if in fact it was the food?
Should I put my cat down?We have a 16 year old calico who has recently (read past 3 months) taken up peeing on the carpets in the childrens play room and bed rooms. We really can't live with my small children (3 & 4) playing and living with cat pee everywhere. We did take her to the vet and she does have a mild thyroid problem that may be the reason why the behavior started. We could treat the thyroid problem (not cheap btw) but my husband has doubts about her changing her behavior now that she has gotten used to going on the carpet. We love her dearly, especially the kids, but we cant live with her turning our house into a toilet. We dont have anyone else who could take her; is simply time to say good bye? Other than the peeing she is a plesant cat and in fairly good shape for her age.
Does hyperactive thyroid medicine for dogs change their behavior? Perhaps making them "high-strung"?A friends beagle has started wetting in the house, barking, and running off since they started the medication. Is there anything that can be done, besides ceasing the medicine?

Have you ever considered the life of?a cow in the food chain? They are kept in deplorable conditions, fed diets of foods not natural to their diet, given growth hormones, steroids and antibiotics until they are fat enough to be slaughtered. After butchering the meat, the skins are sent out to factories to be turned into leather. The blood and organs are sent to pharmaceutacal companies to be derived into medicines and vitamins (think iron, b vitamin and glandular medications, such as thyroid) The bones, ligaments, and hooves and cartilage is turned into gelatin (think jello) and the remaining stuff is processed into cat food, dog food, and meat by products, such as deli meat and hotdogs. It seams pretty sad and self serving that humans use animals for so many things that we really don't need, don't you think? Its really just gross how much we rely on animals for our own needs

My dog is losing hair?My dog is losing hair all around his back and collar. The doctor said he has a Thyroid problem and he has been taking medicine for about 1 year now and his hair still hasn't grown back here is a link to the picture:
My dog woke up in the middle of the night panting, or breathing really hard, whta's the problem?I was thinking it could be a bad dream, but I've seen her have them before, but not breathe this hard. It was almost like she couldn't catch her breathe. She is an old dog, around 10 years old, is in thyroid meds, but her thyroid level isn't that low. Is this something I should be concerned about?
Is my cat healthy for her age?My cat is 16, I took her for a full blood work, check up, my vet says shes very healthy- she only has a thyroid problem thats under control, is she more healthy for her age than most cats or the same?

I am trying to find natural remedies for thyroidism for a dog-english springer spaniel for a friend?she cannot afford the thyroid medication for her dog and her dog is 11 1/2 yrs old and would hate to put him down for this also he cannot control himself and is peeing almost all the time
Can Valerian root be given to dogs to help them sleep and can it be taken along with tyrosine thyroid med?my scottish terrier has been put on thyrosyn tablets for a low thyroid problem. since going on this medication he has not been sleeping well at night. I know that valarian root can be taken by people for help sleeping but I don't know if it is safe for dogs also
Large dog- wont lift head up when walking & paces. Seizure? Stiff neck? Arthritis? My 4 y/o 154Ibs Bull Mastiff is going thru his 2nd spell of NOT lifting his head up when he walks, bloodshot eyes, laying on his dog bed & sleeping ALL day. He won't get up to greet anyone. When anyone gets home (and if he's laying with his back towards the door) he will just wag his tail like crazy and doesnt want to move/turn his neck/head to see who's at the door. It's like he is completely stiff. Then at night he would pace the hallway & didnt sleep hardly at all.He did this 1 1/2 months ago & got better in 3 days. His hips have been makn popping sounds due to lack of exercise &keeps his back legs close together when standing. During the 1st spell, he went unconscious/stopped breathing and we did CPR by blowing into his nose. I took him to the VET the next day & they ran $250 worth of tests & all were negative. They gave him thyroid meds anyway-dont think they played a part in him getting better.I dont have $250 to be spending every month to just go to the vet & get no answers. (?)
My dog just age one of my armour thyroid.im scared?Vet said called poison control, and poison control said should be ok. But I dont believe them IM worried
Old dog losing hair! Vet is clueless...?Our springapoo mix is 12 years old and recently began to lose hair in a large patch on his back. We took him to the vet, and he's convinced it's not mange or anything like that. They ran a test to check his thyroid and it came back completely normal. The vet said we could also check for cushings (sp?) but its 200 dollars and he thinks it will probably come up negative anyway. Any ideas on what this could be? Do old dogs just go bald like people can?
Why does a cat urinate in large quantities?Apricot is 15 years old and has been urinating a lot for a few months. The vet said it was a thyroid problem but medication did not help.
My dog takes levothroxine for thyroid problem 0.2 mg, what are the side effects?Since taking, he has terrible breath, gas, & always hungry, but is getting boney. Also seems confused. (Miniture poodle).

What to do about cat constantly crying? All she does is cry. She eats OK. She is 18 yrs old. I took her to the vet and he has her on some antibiotics for a sore in her mouth and thyroid pills. She drools excessivly too. But it's the constant crying that gets to us all...any help?

Elderly dog with a heart murmur? The vet recently noticed a slight heart murmur in my 11 yr old dog. He also has arthritis and horrible allergies for which he takes daily medication, and his bloodwork showed low thyroid functioning (which the vet said was odd because he is losing weight, not gaining). The vet said to look out for excessive coughing, which can indicate a worsening heart condition (he coughs sometimes, but not too bad). She didn't seem too worried about him, but I can really tell a difference in him from how he acted and felt a year ago. My question is, what exactly causes a heart murmur and what damage can it do?
Should I take more of my thyroid medication?I usually eat 1000 calories a day or no more then 1100 calories each day I probably burn way more then that like I go for a 1 hour walk with my dog, I dance for 30 minutes everyday. First week when I started this diet I had lost 5lb in 4 days (seriously) I was 106 and I got to 101 and now I am 100 but I have not lost after that its been 4 days now.. why is this?

Why is my Vet bill so HIGH?I took my 2 Rat Terriers (Age 8 and 10) to the Vet today for the annual checkup, shots and a bath. I picked them up with a $539.00 bill. They did all kind of Bloodwork and they said they had to do a Annual Blood Profile Gereatric on the 8 yr. old male dog. Is this expensive? Services include on both: Lyme Booster, Thyroid test, Rabies, DHLLP/C Booster, Heartworm test, Fecal Exam, and reg. Exams. They also did a Pre-Anesthesia Blood profile (on female dog). Your opinion is appreciated. Cost were Male dog: 342.30 and Female Dog 194.00.
Why does a cat urinate in large quantities?Apricot is 15 years old and has been urinating a lot for a few months. The vet said it was a thyroid problem but medication did not help.
Cat with renal failure won't eat!?My cat is 15 years old and is in stage 2 (almost 3) of renal failure. He also has thyroid problems. Every two weeks he is losing another pound. He is now 7lbs. He is on a special diet of both wet and dry renal failure cat food with low protein. He doesn't want to eat it. The vet told us not to feed him anything but the special cat food because the protein will hurt him worse. My cat will sniff that food just cry and cry for something different food. The vet said there are appetite stimulants but he keeps putting off giving them to us. How much more weight can he lose? Should I just give him some regular food? Are there low protein regular foods that he could eat? Could I give him tuna juice which is even more watered down?
My cat has hyperthyroid w/ dosing changes and decreased appetite. We need steady dosing & food help?Tara a female Calico has been taking Methimazole 0.20ml/2x daily. She will have labs and her med. will be increased or decrease based on her thyroid level. Her kidney functions are also affected w/ increased drinking and urination. She has now lost her appetite and her med. has been decreased. Do you have any suggestions on dosage and what she may like to eat that she just can't pass up because it smells and tastes so good. She is sleeping on the patio rather than her bed inside the house, I'm assuming she is hypothyroid at this time, w/ low energy and possibly the airconditioning is causing her to be cold? She's loosing alot of weight. Thank you
What is the life expectancy of a dog diagnosed with Cushing's disease? My 7 year old terrier has recently had blood work done which indicates the possible existance of Cushing's disease.
What is the proper dosage of thyroid replacement hormone for cats? Please help me. I have a 4 year old cat that has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. His only symptom is paralysis. He cannot walk. His T4 count was below the minimum and the vet put him on hormone replacement meds. They are not working and I do not now what to do. I am looking for a miracle. Can you help me?
My 15 mo. old son's soft spot is still there and his head is in the 95 percent. Something wrong? His 15 month check up was a few weeks early and he was not checked by his regular doctor. Head size hasnt changed much since his last check up and his moms side had big heads. 15 word vocabulary and he is active but he doesn't walk well yet. 5 steps before he goes to crawl. We were in a small room for the last 7 months and he just didnt get much opportunity to practice walking. Now have a 2 br place and he has his own room and loves to walk holding one hand or grabbing things as he goes. This new doctor is asking for thyroid blood test and possible a cat scan while he is sedated. Everything I've read said it can take up to 2 years for a soft spot to close and no doctor has mentioned any sort of concern at any prior check up. Ill get the blood test but am scared to have him sedated w/radiation exposure just because the new doctor walks in and expresses concern. Is it ok to wait it out a while longer to see his walking get better and soft spot close more or is it all of a sudden urgent?
How do you decide to put a pet down?My cat is 18. She hasn't cleaned herself in about 2 months. She has lost lots of weight and sometimes she looks unwell. However, she still eats (just barfs a lot afterwards) and walks around and seeks affection and otherwise acts like a normal cat. Mentally she has changed her personality though. She meows and whines for food almost constantly when she's awake. I had her on thyroid medication according the the vet she had hyperthyroid, but even at the highest dose, her meowing and constant whining is becoming worse. I'v never heard of a cat like this before. She only turned into this within the last few months. It's so hard to decide what to do, when my friends and family see her, they think it's "time" but how do you make that decision?
My dog has vestibular disease. How long will he stagger & walk around in circles? Is it stressful for him?He is also restless. We don't want to give up on him but he looks pitiful and sometimes he falls and stays there for quite awhile. He still goes outside to potty and is eating well but doesn't sleep well. That started before the thyroid medications.
My 13 year old female cat has enlarged thyroid glands?vet wants to remove them at the cost of $1200 and there would be a very high risk that my cat could die and then there is medication that she can be put on for the rest of her life that costs $30 per month. the vet really wants to do the operation instead and we can't afford it but we can afford the pills.

They say some dogs gain weight after alterning? My poor pooch gained a ton of weight after his neutering, He weighed in at ten pounds when he went for his neuter, I took him to the vet a week and a half later and he had already gained over a pound, thats alot for a small dog. His hair dried out and he is now around 16 pounds less than a year later. People will accuse me of overfeeding etc, but the dog isnt free fed and I can assure you he eats no more than he ate prior to the neutering.I think they removed his thyroid instead of his testicles!!!!!!!!! Has this happened to anybody else out there?
I am trying to find natural remedies for thyroidism for a dog-english springer spaniel for a friend?she cannot afford the thyroid medication for her dog and her dog is 11 1/2 yrs old and would hate to put him down for this also he cannot control himself and is peeing almost all the time
My 18 year old cat wees just outside the litter tray. She doesn't wee anywhere else in the house. Help!?She sometimes puts her front paws in the tray & then just stands there & wees. We got a litter tray when she was trying to wee in corners of the house! Thank goodness this has stopped. I clean up every time using disinfectant, flash (lemon which cats aren't supposed to like) & spray with a product that's supposed to stop cats weeing in places you don't want! She does have tablets for thyroid problems (is this relevant?). As she's so old & really is lovely I would like to solve this as it's driving me nuts!
Sick!!!Does this sound right?I have had a stuffy nose, awful cough and low fever for about 3 days. I went to the hospital last night because I felt so bad. My upper back hurt, my chest hurt, and I started to get this purplish rash on my lower lip. They did blood work, chest x-ray and chest cat-scan. They told me the only thing they found was nodules on my thyroid. They didn't address the isuue of the rash on my lip. Is this something I should worry about. They said the back pain was from coughing. I think about meningitis when I see a purple rash. I can touch my chin to my chest, but it causes pain in my upper back. do you think that's from the coughing. They prescribed Z-pack and another prescription for inflammation. They said the chest pain and bak pain are a muscle thing.

Cat's twitchy behavior? My six year old female (spayed) indoor cat has been exhibiting strange behavior for the last few months. She will be sound asleep, and all of the sudden jump up, run around, and start shaking her head and wiggling her ears like they are itching her. This also happens sometimes when she is licking her back and hind legs-- her back fur area near her tail will ripple and twitch, she will jump up, and run around, with her ears wiggling. The episodes last for about 5-10 seconds at a time, anywhere from 2-6 times a day. I have taken her to the vet twice in the last month, with no resolution. Her blood tests came back fine; the only thing was a slightly elevated thyroid level (4.1, with 4 being "high normal"). She does not have fleas or ear mites. The vet felt up and down my cat's back, but couldn't find anything wrong. The behavior continues, and it looks like my cat is in distress when it happens (as opposed to the usual "crazy cat" behavior). Any ideas about what might be wrong?
Primary hyperthyroidism, what is it?And what is the function and purpose of the thyroid galnd, or whatever Primary hyperthyroidism affects in a dog?
Dog seizures?Hi, my dog has been having seizures now for a long time and well I wanted to know a bit more.
She's 13 years old....we love her so much....too hard to decide...?My cat Coconut lives with my father...so technically...she's HIS cat. Anyway, over the past few months, she was diagnosed with a Thyroid problem so she wasn't gaining weight. Recently...she is withering away to nothing...she's SO thin...and she refuses to eat. My father called lastnight to say that she's barely moving...and that he couldn't handle what needs to be done. I went to check on her this morning and she's running around and meowing...which I did not expect at all. I was totally prepared to get to my fathers, see her in terrible shape and do what needed to be done...but her actions swayed me. I know cats don't live forever...I know eventually we'll have to let her go....but when is the right time? Like I said before, she's not eating...very thin....doesn't get around like normal....but she's not lethargic...completely aware of herself and surroundings....should we give her more time?
My Cat isn't eating much anymore?OK, here's the story - the cat is 19 years old (!). he was always active & very trim, and ate like a pig. not big on human food, except dairy (yogurt, mayo, oil). he always eats dry food, despite his teeth being 19 years old. he usually licks the gravy out of wet food & MAYBE eats some of the meat, if he's super hungry. but he does like IAMS canned food & usually eats all of that up.
My cat is ill please help?my cat is 17 years old. A few days ago hi tummy stated to gurggle and it been getting lounder. He eats very well for his age. He is quite thin though ad cries if picked up. He has thyroid problems what he hs tablets for what could be wrong with him? thanks
Dog has Low thyroid - serious answers only please? My father's dog has a mild Low Thyroid condition. He has not put her on medication, as per the vets request. What is Low Thyroid and how dangerous is it?
My dog has under active thyroid, can diet help?Would a change in diet help her condition, she gets very tired

Has my cat gone blind with old age?Over the past few days we've noticed one of my cats (18 years) stumbling around slowly and occasionally bumping into things. They were too far appart for us to suspect anything though. Today she has totally gone from bad to worse. She can't see anything and she's walking into everything and getting lost around the house, crying for us to come help her. We would take her to the vets but they're closed for the New Year. We've noticed her pupils aren't dilating and they're cloudy. Any advice? And also she has an overactive thyroid gland. Is the blindness anything to do with this or is it just old age?
What's wrong with my cat?I have an elderly cat. A couple of years ago, he suddenly got very ill. Several vet visits later he was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and was started on medicine. He has been fine until recently, when he stopped eating. Unable to afford more vet visits, we started force feeding him using watered down cat food and syringes. He is acting normally, other than not eating and not doing much grooming. He pees and poops in his box like he always has. He still begs for table food, and will sometimes eat things he likes; namely chicken, lunchmeat, or fish so there isn't a problem with his ability to eat. He is also addicted to kitty milk now, drinking about a box a day. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with him, or how I can get him to start eating solid foods on his own? Thanks in advance for any help.
Can spaying cause permanate damage to my dog....?I got her spayed a few months ago and now she keeps getting urinary track infections and can't control her bladder even if she has just gone out and done her business. We also saw blood in her urine last week. My vet said it could be a thyroid problem but I don't think so.
Hyper-thyroid Levels in my cat?My cat had thyroid level of 17. 5 is considered too high and should be at 2. The vet put him on medicine of 5mg twice a day. His levels were 17 and dropped to 5 in one month. She wants me to increase my cat’s medicine to 7.5 mg twice a day and see him in a month. I am happy my cat’s thyroid dropped, but can it drop too low? If I do logic math, it seems like in 4 weeks with increase medication he will be too low. What do you think?
Would you call this excessive overcharging?Last week, I took my 15-year old cat to the vet as he's gotten very thin. I was afraid he had diabetes. The bill was $33.00 for the examination, $22.00 for a urinalysis w/Sedimentation and $51.50 for CBC w/profile. All together $106.50. All the tests were negative, and I was told if they tests were negative, they'd then do a thyroid test.
My 15 mo. old son's soft spot is still there and his head is in the 95 percent.
What is the proper dosage of thyroid replacement hormone for cats? Please help me. I have a 4 year old cat that has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. His only symptom is paralysis. He cannot walk. His T4 count was below the minimum and the vet put him on hormone replacement meds. They are not working and I do not now what to do. I am looking for a miracle. Can you help me?

What online pet pharmacies are reputable?I have heard that some online pet pharmacies sell fake or not completely reputable drugs, does anyone know which to avoid? I need levothyroxine (thyroid meds) for my dog, so I really want the correct drug for the best price. Is petcarerx.com ok?
We just adopted a 3 year old malti-poo on Tuesday. 1st time pet owners.?She's perfectly house trained, doesn't chew, snap, lick, or bark, and has all her shots. She's adorable, lovable, already listens to us, and seems very happy. She's the perfect dog and we plan on keeping for the duration, and want to make sure she stays healthy. She has spurts when she has a ton of energy, but for the most part she's either laying with us or laying on the tile, very docile. Other than no people food and excercise is there any way to make sure she stays healthy and active? Do I need to worry about her thyroid? Any tips on Malti-poos?

My dog has nerve damage on one side of his face. Is it painful for him?He has been treated for ear infection twice this last year. The vet said his nerve will not recover. He has had this for over a year and just started staggering and falling one week ago. He also walks around in circles and is very restless. He is now taking nausea and thyroid meds and eye drops. His eye has not blinked in one year and is very red and somewhat sunken looking. Is that also normal?

Why won't my dogs hair grow back after being shaved?I just asked this question earlier. My dogs hair won't grow back in several spots after being shaved. He has seen a vet and had his thyroid checked and his skin, no explanation from vet as yet.
